June 21st Proclaimed as Bioenergy Day in Georgia

Governor Sonny Perdue has proclaimed June 21st as Bioenergy Day in the state of Georgia.
The Proclamation states:
“June 21, the Summer Solstice, is the longest day of the year in the northern hemisphere and the day when the most energy from the sun reaches Earth. Therefore, it is fitting on this day to raise awareness of the benefits and potential of bioenergy to help transform our way of life for the better.”
